Now, more and more products have been developed that combine a moisturizer with a sunscreen. See below for the recommended qualities of the combination product you use:
An Ideal Daily Use Moisturizer Should
The key here is daily use, ideally applying once in the morning and once in the evening. Consistent use of the combination product will help maintain skin hydration, texture, tone, and suppleness, and slow the aging process.
For example, I tell my patients that the use of a combination product after an aesthetic procedure is essential for the best cosmetic result. After a laser resurfacing or radiofrequency micro needling, my patients use a combination product to both help with healing from the procedure and to maintain the results for as long as possible.
Apply a dime-sized amount of moisturizer to damp skin within three minutes of washing your face so it absorbs quickly. Rub gently, in a circular motion. Pay special attention to the skin under your eyes. Don’t forget your neck, throat and chest. Don’t rush to apply makeup- let the product fully absorb into your skin.
